Aftab Shivdasani and Aamna Sharif “Falling in Love”

Bollywood News,
Rajeev Khandelwal is busy making himself a good reputation as an actor in the film industry while ex-sweetheart Aamna Sharif has started seeing Aftab Shivdasani. It is said that the couple fell in love while shooting for their forthcoming movie Aloo Chat.
“Aamna and Aftab are surely a couple. They are behaving like one two. Aftab even threw a huge birthday bash for her few weeks back. Only a few select friends of them were invited for the same. Those who attended this bash saw the couple as being very close to each other.” a source tells us.

“What is surprising is that both their families are also aware about their relationship. They frequently visit each other’s homes and try to catch up with each other whenever they can.”

“After finishing Aloo Chat both of them are now shooting for Aftab’s home production film Hum Aapke Peeche Khade Hai where Aamna is playing a lead opposite Aftab, ” adds the source.

Rani and Shahrukh, fight!!!

Bollywood News,
Its raining fights and more fights this year. After the ugly SRK-Sallu fight, SRK’s dear friend Rani took Sallu’s side and told Shahrukh that he was wrong in making comments about Ash in Katrina’s party and what Salman did wasn’t wrong at all.

Obviously that has led to a skirmish between Rani Mukherjee and Shahrukh. She even went for Salman’s TV show Dus Ka Dum and spoke publicly about their fight.

“When I heard about it (the fight), I did not like it a bit. I was very disappointed,” she spoke about the fight.

Due to all this, SRK seems to have decided to kick Rani out of Temptations Reloaded tour and rope in Deepika Padukone instead.

Kareena ahead of Katrina Kaif

Bollywood News,
Katrina Kaif is the most sought after actress in Bollywood today, something we may not have imagined after watching Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya. But the truth is that Akshay Kumar has proved to be lucky for her and that their every movie together has been a hit.She is just all over the place and we ask her why and she replies,

“I have no idea but it is very kind of you to say so. I have worked hard and been consistent. I think a large part of it has got to do with destiny.”

Katrina is considered in the same league as Kareena and she says, “It has been a flight of fantasy for me so far. Whatever I have got is more than what I had asked for. Kareena was already a big star when I made my debut. Moreover, she has essayed a lot of challenging roles. Kareena is far ahead of me in terms of roles and performance. I am only nine films old. I have a long way to go.“

That was modest, I’m sure after this even Kareena will have some nice things to say about Katz… Its mutual in Bollywood, this complimenting business.

Shahrukh – Salman in Katrina Kaif’s Birthday

Bollywood News,
Shahrukh Khan has finally decided to speak up after the famous clash of the titans at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash. One too many reasons for her to remember her 24th birthday.

Shahrukh Khan talking about his brawl with Salman Khan said, “I think like a father, while Salman thinks like a child!”

“There is not much common between us, we think differently, we speak differently. We have spent a good time together. But with time, that fact has got blurred. We are happy in our worlds. If we come together it is good. If we don’t it’s even better. We are not friends.”

Amisha Patel is happy in love with boyfriend Kanav Puri and she even fasted for him on the Karva Chauth.

Amisha says, “Kanav had been away on work. I kept Karva Chauth and went in the evening to my friend’s home where we were all going to break the fast together. It was a Karva Chauth-cum-pre-Diwali party. I was expecting Kanav to arrive the next day. But he came on time just to surprise me.”

Shilpa Shetty Cashing in on Her Sexy Image

Shilpa Shetty, the sensational sexy actress seems to be more popular overseas than in Bollywood after she attained the heights of glory with her Big Brother incredible win in late January of 2007. She cast a spell of magical charm on the western audiences with her radiant beauty, the little twinkling eyes and beaming smile. Her stunning curvaceous body and athletically shaped long legs make her the perfect choice for being a Bond girl.

It was 'The People' a website in UK conducted the poll whether Shilpa Shetty would fit in to be a Bond girl. The response to the poll was staggering with surfers voting in hundreds and thousands and Shilpa, the breathtaking sensational beauty won hands down as the only choice for playing the Bond girl. Halle Berry secured second position of course.

Even the makers of Ian Fleming Bond movies have decided to cash in on her popularity in Great Britain and Asia and according to the grapevine it is learnt that they have even signed this 32-year-old sex-bomb from Bollywood. Even Mike Tyson, who is of late showing interest in Bollywood movies, has expressed his wish to act with her. Cashing in on her immense popularity and sexy image, Shilpa Shetty has become quite a busy person overseas by taking up modeling assignments to launching products like perfumes and other brands to signing up movies abroad.

Happy Birthday Hema Malini

Dream Girl Hema Malini is young at heart. The actress who ruled Bollywood film industry for more than 15 years is still growing stronger with every year. This year Hema turns 60! (Yes, we are not kidding!). Needless to say she doesn't look her age and even today she can look as stunning as young stars.

''I feel 16 at 60,' says Hema with a smile. 'I guess age has nothing to do with creativity, but it certainly has a lot to do with maturity and dedication. I have lived life on my own terms and conditions and now when I look back I feel happy about all the decision I have taken,' she adds. This year Hema Malini will not be able to stay in Mumbai during her birthday (16th October) as she will be visiting Tirupati temple for special puja on that day. Her daughters Esha and Ahana are likely to accompany her on the same day. ''The best way to celebrate birthday is by praying to lord for world peace and harmony. In times of terrorism and global financial depression I guess we can only find peace in our prayers,' says Hema.

Having started her Bollywood career by delivering some of the most memorable films, that, has by now got 'golden etching' in every cinegoer's memory, the name 'Hema' still continues to rule Bollywood as was during her prime days. Even though every film of hers is a milestone in itself, a sample list of her memorable films read like Khushboo, Desh Premee, Naseeb, Trishul, Seeta Aur Geeta, Nastik, Sapnon Ka Saudagar, Vijay and the unforgettable 'revolution ' called Sholay!

Akshay Kumar - Deepika Padukone in Hot Films

When the first set of promos of 'Chandni Chowk to China' were released the movie was promoted as 'This Diwali two great civilizations will wish they never met'. Diwali was highlighted in the promos as the movie was slated to release during the big festival, but insiders now say that the movie release has been pushed out to 2009.
Akshay Kumar who is basking in the success of 'Singh is Kinng' was shocked when he received a call from Producer Rohan Sippy saying that the movie would now release in January 2009. Akki was further annoyed when Rohan stated the reason for delay was negligence on Director Nikhil Advani's behalf as the shooting cans were exposed to light.
In fact, Akki will have to re-shoot few important scenes in the movie as the ones he shot earlier cannot be used any more as they are blurry. The scenes have to be re-shot in China and the busy actor Akshay was forced to give up his holidays so that the movie is not delayed further, so once again Akki will be required to take a trip all the way from Chandni to China

Kajol Confirm Karan Johar ~ My Name is Khan ~

Kareena Kapoor can put her hopes of being cast in My Name Is Khan to complete rest. For finally Karan Johar’s first choice Kajol has agreed to do the film. Kajol gave the nod to the project on Thursday.
A source close to Kajol’s husband, Ajay Devgan, tells us, “Kajol indeed took a long time to take a call on her participation in Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan, but the problem was that she had not heard the script in detail. This week, she took a long look at the script and finally said ‘yes’.”
“Karan and Kajol go back a long way. Their dosti is not only friendship but respect for each other as well. Kajol could not have refused the film outright,” the insider further says.
So how will Kajol adjust to the US schedule? Will her daughter Nysa accompany her? Wasn’t that one of the reasons why Kajol took long to give her nod of consent? “Well, that all will be sorted out. Kajol has worked out how to look after Nysa during that period. Whether Nysa will go with Kajol or not is still not known,” our source adds.
We sent a text message to KJo (as Karan is fondly called in the industry), but he did not reply.
My Name Is Khan, directed by Karan Johar, stars Karan’s best buddy, Shah Rukh (who co-produces My Name Is Khan) in the male lead.
The only time Shah Rukh and Kareena have been romantically paired earlier was in Asoka the Great (2001), which too was produced in part by Shah Rukh Khan.

John Abraham in Sooni Taraporevala's

John Abraham has added another feather to his hat with his presence in the directorial debut of the internationally acclaimed photographer and screenplay writer, Sooni Taraporevala. The film titled Little Zizou is in the post-production stage and is being produced by Indian Films.

The director of film, Sooni, who also happens to be a close friend of Mira Nair, claimed that John's role of a Parsi boy would take everyone by surprise. She further added that, although the film revolves around the game of football, John's character had nothing to do with the game.

A spokesperson from Indian films informed that the only actor who fitted in the bill as soon as they heard the script was John. The film also stars Boman Irani, Immaduddin Shah, Cyrus Broacha and Kurush Deboo.

Manisha ke gaal par chante kee goonj

So when the director Rajaatesh Nayar asked her to slap Manisha hard for a scene, Rituparno got cold feet. "I was so scared. I have grown up watching her films and admire her greatly. So how could I even think of slapping her! But Rajaatesh said that I have to do it and I must think that I am hitting her character Devika. It really took me a while to even think of doing it. Eventually when I did hit her, it was a perfect shot. I immediately went to apologise to her but she took it so sportingly. She just shrugged it off, although the slap had been a proper one. I was apprehensive for few days to come but eventually realised that she had meant it when she has said 'forget it'."

Director Rajaatesh Nayar's debut film SIRF – life looks greener on the other side revolves around four couples played by Kay Kay Menon, Manisha Koirala, Sonali Kulkarni, Ranbir Shorey, Parveen Dabas, Rituparna Sengupta, Ankur Khanna and Nauheed Cyrusi.

Mimoh Chakraborty in JIMMY 08

It was the era of Mithun Chakraborty where the actor danced to various disco tracks and was very famously known as Jimmy and Disco Dancer. And to his fate he has his son Mimoh Chakraborty following his footsteps and had started off with many aspirations in Bollywood to be like his father.

The music was introduced in the market on 31st March 2008 at The Ultimate, Mumbai.

The music has some jazzy beats in it with Mimoh dancing to the rocky tunes. Mimoh, son of Mithun is all set to make his mark in Bollywood with a newcomer Vivana.

Everybody seems to enjoy the music of the film and to encourage Mimoh was present heartthrob Salman Khan who supported Mimoh with his presence. Mimoh couldn’t make it to the music launch as he is busy shooting for his further ventures. But to represent the lead pair was present debutant actress Vivana who seemed to be pretty excited and wished for some leniency for being a newcomer.

The amazing music is composed by music director Anand Raj Anand with guest composer Bappa lahiri. Bappi Lahiri was also present at the event with Anand Raj Anand and Shakti Kapoor playing a guest appearance in the film.

Well the excitement was on with the presence of Salman and of course the film is on everyone’s mind especially Mithun looked very proud for Mimoh taking his first step towards his dreams.

Ranbir Kapoor to Charlie Chaplin

If Ranbir Kapoor is being seen as the true inheritor of the Kapoor legacy, it is with reason. In his debut film Saawariya a major part of Ranbir's personality was patterned on Raj Kapoor. And now Raj Kumar Santoshi who sees a special spark in the Saawariya star is getting ready to take Ranbir's acting ancestry to another level.

In Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani Ranbir plays the melancholy lover-boy hopelessly in love with the idea of being in love. The character was immortalized by Raj Kapoor in Mera Naam Joker and before him, Chaplin in City Lights. Ranbir in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani plays 'Prem' a true inheritor of the two imperishable heroes from the past. Says Santoshi, "I decided Ranbir was the right actor for my film from the time I saw Saawariya. He plays Prem an innocent guy with a heart of gold. Yes there will be distinct elements of Charlie Chaplin and Raj Kapoor, though not too much of it. Raj Saab has already done it all in Sri 420 and it would look repetitive. Also, that level of political and sexual innocence would look odd in present times. Let's say Ranbir plays the Charlie Chaplin and Raj Kapoor of our times."

Santoshi fondly recalls the experience of working with Ranbir's father. "In my Damini Rishi Kapoor played a really difficult role…of a man caught between his duties towards his family and society. Though Rishi didn't have an author-backed role in Damini, what a beautiful job of he did." Ranbir on the other hand not only has the title role in Ajab Prem… his character also gets to go through a series of life-changing experiences. "Ranbir takes interest in every aspect of the film. He's a keen student if cinema. His enthusiasm for cinema goes much beyond his role. I know I'll enjoy my shooting with him. But beyond that I'm right now enjoying interacting with him," adds Santoshi. In the next two months, Santoshi will be doing a first-look photo session between Ranbir and Katrina Kaif. "We'll also be sitting on the costumes because the clothes are a very important part of the story. We start shooting the film only when Ranbir returns from his long foreign schedule of the Yashraj Film," informs Santoshi.

Being a full-on love story Pritam is doing the music score of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. "I've been watching Pritam's growth as a musician. And I can't think of anyone else for this project," says Santoshi who has earlier worked with the likes of A R Rahman.

AMRITA RAO MAKES A CAMEO IN SHAURYA

"How did this get out? It was meant to be a surprise!" This is how the Shaurya director, Samar Khan, reacts when being asked about Amrita Rao's presence in the cast of his second directorial venture.

"Amrita Rao is indeed in my film. Just how it happened is an interesting story. I didn't intend to cast her. But she's a dear friend, and wanted to be part of my film. So, I cast her in a very special role. I guess I'm blessed to have so many friends in the industry," says the journalist-turned-director.

Samar is all praise for Amrita's professionalism. "We were supposed to shoot only for a day. But that stretched into two days. Amrita gave the time without any complaint. Then she wasn't happy with her dubbing. So, she did the dubbing again. I love how focused she was even in her cameo. And not just Amrita. I had a dream cast in Shaurya; Rahul Bose, Kay Kay Menon, Deepak Dobriyal and Minissha Lamba…they all went out of their way to make sure Shaurya turns out to be a special film."

PRIYANKA CHOPRA - HARMAN BAWEJA SPLIT???

Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja claim that they are only friends and are not dating each other. However sources claim that both of them were dating earlier for a while and seem to keep going on the on-off track with their courtship. When Harmans soon to be debut film Lovestory 2050 was in trouble as there was no leading lady, it was Priyanka Chopra who volunteered to do the film. According to sources now that both Priyanka and Harman are working together closely, they have again come close to each other. However all is definitely not well with their relationship it seems as the two of them recently had a showdown outside Harmans home. Priyanka was seen ranting and raving and finally even succumbed to tears after the showdown.

Priyanka and Harman were returning from a night out in her car, when they probably had a huge argument. As soon as the car pulled up outside Harmans home he got out of the car and Priyanka followed suit. The usually calm Priyanka was hysterical and began to yell and scream at Harman outside his home. Not wanting to create a scene late at night Harman just headed towards his house, this infuriated Priyanka even more and she continued to yell at him. Sources claim Harman even cautioned her saying Dont create a scene outside my house, you will get into trouble. A friend of the couple who was in the car also stepped out and tried to make Priyanka see reason, but she was in no mood and continued to get hysterical. Finally Harman took Priyanka into his home and perhaps tried to calm her down. After a while the two emerged from his house, but Priyanka was in tears and sobbing profusely.

The two then went their own way in their respective cars. However it seems that the story didnt end there, but a few days later Priyanka was again spotted outside Harmans home quite late at night, banging on his door. Priyanka was once again hysterical but this time she was sobbing and apologetic for her rude behaviour the other day. She kept banging on the door which disturbed quite a few other neighbours. However Harman feigned complete ignorance about any such incident and still claims that the two of them are just friends. Although Priyanka was seen in some big films like Krrish and Don last year, she was severely criticized for her performance in them. Well the lady definitely seems to be going through a rough patch both professionally and personally.

SHAH RUKH KHAN in KRAZZY 4 [fantastic dancer]

An item song by Shah Rukh Khan.. well all I can say is that he is a fantastic dancer, with tons of energy. And it all started because of Hrithik’s knee injury.

Post the shooting of his last film, Hrithik was nursing a injury to his knee that required physiotherapy. I wanted Hrithik to do the item song, but he kept on pushing the shooting date as his doctor had insisted on no physical activity to give the knee time to heal. Finally I had a word with him. I said, “Either we delay the release of the film or shoot with another actor”.

Hrithik did not want the film to be delayed, so he asked me to rope in another actor. We at once thought of Shah Rukh Khan. Shah Rukh and I go back to Koyla and Karan Arjun . We don’t live in each other’s pocket nor do we party together, but we share a lot of warmth and affection.

I went to meet him at Mannat, Shah Rukh’s house and told him about my predicament. Shah Rukh gave me his assent without any hesitation. He said, “I am free to do it anytime you want me as I have no pending work”.

A lot of attention was given to Shah Rukh’s looks and styling. The designer who worked on Hrithik’s look for Dhoom 2 , Anahita Shroff was roped in. She first heard the song and decided on two changes. The first look is very basic with a white shirt and black trouser, but a black designer holster has added sophistication in big dollops. In the next change, he gave him a red and black combination.

Shah Rukh shot with me from the 16th of Jan to the 20th of Jan at the Yash Raj Studios. Choreographer Ahmed Khan has made him dance like never before. Hrithik was present on the first day, he had to be as he is the co-producer of the film, but thereafter he flew to Singapore for his treatment.

After the song was done, Shah Rukh very humbly said, “I have given my best shot, but I think Hrithik will do more justice to it”. This is something that I did not agree with because according to me Shah Rukh has done full justice to it in his own style.

EMRAAN HASHMI to STAR in WARNER BROS

Emraan Hashmi moves out of the Bhatt fold temporarily for a film that brings Hollywood's Warner Bros to Indian shores for the second time. Their first project in Hindi is Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk To China.

The second venture sees Warner tying up with Tandav films, of Khosla Ka Ghosla, for a study of intimate human relationships set in Delhi. And Emraan Hashmi gets a total makeover of look image and personality for the part. Finally, after playing the serial kisser in a series of Bhatt films, Emraan is ready to play a fully mature married man with kids.

And the producers, not convinced that Emraan could carry off the mellow mature look, are giving him a complete makeover. Emraan admits sheepishly that he is going into a totally different zone this time. He also admits that his attempts to go beyond the Bhatt family fold haven't been so successful. "I did The Train which wasn't by the Bhatts and where I played a married man. So, it isn't as if I haven't played a married man with a family before. I agree such attempts haven't been so successful for me. Films where I've a streak of mystery and mischief are more liked. I haven't been appreciated in my mature roles like Awaarapan. With my new film I hope to rectify that. When writer Jaideep Sahni narrated it to me I immediately wanted to do it. It takes me into areas and emotions I haven't covered before."

The untitled film being produced by Savita Raj of Tandav Filmswho produced last year's sleeper hit Khosla Ka Ghosla, also finds the writer Jaideep Sahni moving out of his comfort zone. Jaideep who wrote the two inspirational films Chak De India and Aaja Nachle for Yashraj Films is looking forward to the challenge of writing a film that takes him into a different zone. "This is a commitment from the time I did Khosla Ka Ghosla for Tandav Films. They took two stories from me. This is the second one," says Sahni.

Emraan Hashmi will be spending this summer in Delhi shooting this very unusual film directed by Joy Augustine who made his directorial debut with AB Corp Ltd's Tere Mere Sapne and has just completed a film based on the Mumbai train blasts for Sunil Shetty's Popcorn Entertainment.

SHAHRUKH KHAN in MAKING of Rs 1 BILLION MOVIE for KIDS

King Khan is now on move to make a children movie loaded with special effects for whopping $ 25 million (Rs1 billion) as the costliest movie ever made in Bollywood. The rs 100 crore movie is to be produced in VFX medium using special computer- generated special effects. Shah Rukh disclosed the plan for the movie in an interview to Patrick Frater of Hollywood’s top trade magazine variety at Berlin film festival recently.

He is in communication with Eros Multimedia and Charles Darby (Related to Matrix and Minority Report) visual effect expert who has stake in Eros to start special effects Eyeqube studios in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh told he was producing movie under his home banner Red Chillies Production to be directed by Anubhav Sinha. He said, “We are dedicating the next eight or nine months to taking the best technicians from around the world and asking them to help us make the best VFX film India has ever made. It will be madcap, over the top. I want it to be as beautiful as Spider-Man in terms of effects,” Khan told Variety.

In the response to the question whether he was not courted by Hollywood he said, “I’m waiting for someone like Steven Spielberg or James Cameroon (of Titanic fame) or some other great person like Ang Lee to make a film, a film about a brown, thin, scrawny Indian guy who doesn’t speak English too well. If they ever have a character like that and Google it, I’m sure they’ll find me.”

During the interview he also admitted his home production movie Om Shanti Om was full of clichés of Indian cinema.

NEHA DHUPIA - SEXY WOMEN

Neha Dhupia, who is known for her sexy image and glamorous roles, is now hoping that her role in Mithya will be appreciated by the critics. “The film has been appreciated at the festivals. I have got great reviews at the Osian Film Festival and due credit for my role. I was flattered when people said ‘you have finally become an actress.’ Now I feel like telling the audiences stop looking at me and start listening to me,” says Neha.

It is believed that in Mithya, her role is similar to Mona Darling. When asked about the similarities between both characters she replies, “No it’s not so much like Mona Darling. Naseer is a gangster in the film and I am his girl.” She continues, “I am playing the character called Sonam. She is an aspiring actress and a gangster’s girl. She is always anticipating that he is going to make her a star, and will fund her films. In the entire journey she realises the truth. And there is a romantic angle with Ranvir Shorey.”

Neha informs she loves working with Rajat Kapoor as she will be seen in his next Raat Gayee Baat Gayee too. “Rajat the director, the actor and a human being, I can’t decide which amongst them is nicest. He is so good. He has delivered way more than what was there in the script. I think half the battle was won because Rajat was the director,” adds Neha. She doesn’t deny the fact that she did some wrong films in the past but she has no qualms about it. “I had a couple of disasters and I have learned from that.

But it’s okay as we all are human beings and we make mistakes. Sometimes you overlook them, sometimes you don’t. I did some films because of good relations and sometimes as favours. But now I have realised that I rather say no than turn around and be hiding my face. I have made mistakes and I have no regrets, but the movies I’m doing now are really good ones. I have Vipul Shah’s Singh Is Kinng and Maharathi with Paresh Rawal, Naseer and Om Puri, being directed by Shivam Nair,” she says.

KUNAL KHEMU - Superstar is an average film

After Om Shanti Om and Khoya Khoya Chand, we have another film based on the Hindi film industry. But Superstar, starring Kunal Khemu, has a double role element as well. It is directed by James director Rohit Jugraj.

Superstar starts with a middle-class boy (Kunal), who dreams of making it big in Bollywood. With his friends, including Mausam (Tulip Joshi ), backing him, Kunal's character dares to fight for his dreams. Unfortunately, life plays a cruel prank on him.

Enter Karan, (Kunal's double role), a rich, playboy son of a leading film producer, Mr Saxena (Darshan Jariwala). He is bent on making his son the next superstar. But Karan is not interested in the movies. He would rather spend his time partying or chasing actress Barkha (Aushima Sawhney). Fearing that his son's antics might jeopardise the film, Mr Saxena brings in Kunal as his body double. Now Kunal's dream of becoming a superstar is just a moment away, but at the cost of losing his identity.

Jugraj's direction has improved since James; he has extracted great performances from the actors.

There are great comedic moments in the film, most times poking fun at Bollywood stars and scandals. Even Sanjay Dutt, who has a guest appearance, comes up some cheeky one-liners.

But the script has some loopholes, the most prominent one being the investigating journalist (Zafar Karachiwala), who is only interested in getting the next scoop. But when he finally gets it, he suddenly turns into a softy and backs off. Karan's death scene is treated very poorly.

The film moves at a very slow pace, and should have been better edited. Music is quite drab too, except for the songs, Do I Love You and Ajnabi.

What holds the film together is Kunal Khemu's performance. He's endearing as Karan the casanova and as Kunal, the struggling actor. He definitely deserves better roles in bigger films.

Darshan Jariwala, as the money-hungry producer, is awesome. Sharat Saxena does brilliantly in the scene when Kunal visits his parents.

Tulip Joshi has lesser screen time than Aushima, but both do well.

Superstar is an average film. Watch it only if you have nothing else to do

JIMMY SHERGILL - HANDSOME MAN

Jimmy Shergill was born as Jasijet in as Sikh family on December 3rd 1970 in Gorakhpur, India. As a kid, Jimmy had an amazing childhood as his family lived on a farmhouse. In 1985, after the Indira Gandhi assassination, his family was forced to move to Punjab as riots against the Sikh community. Jimmy led a mediocre life in Punjab; his brother encouraged him to venture into acting, so Jimmy came to Mumbai and joined Roshan Taneja’s acting and dancing classes. In 1996, Jimmy was given his first break by Gulzar in ‘Maachis’, which got him some recognition. Jimmy has high regards for Gulzar Sahaab, who has mentored his career. His next was Yashraj banner ‘Mohaabtien’ in which he impressed many with his performance.

Jimmy continued his association with the banner by signing ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai’, which did manage to get some good reviews for Jimmy. ‘Dil Hai Tumhara’ was his third hit, but still the actor did not get the star status. The critics commented the actor lacked the star aura and would not be able to carry a solo hero film on his own shoulders.

Jimmy continued with delivering good movies, and he left the critics stunned when he pulled off ‘Haasil’, a solo hero movie, but the actor still didn’t get the deserved recognition. Jimmy got married the same year to Priyanka, who is not part of the film industry.

Jimmy started accepting character roles in movies and he signed ‘Munnabhai MBBS’. Jimmy had high hopes with ‘Yahaan’ and the actor did deliver a fabulous performance, but it went unnoticed. Fate was not very kind to Jimmy as despite delivering great performances, he has not got his dues. The actor continues to pursue his zest for acting as he believes that he came to Bollywood with nothing and has has earned respect and fame and is confident that the future has a lot more for his talents.

AISHWARYA RAI and ABHISHEK BACHAN in RAMAYANA

There is news that “Ramayana” will be portrayed on the Hollywood screen.

The brain behind this fascination is Ashok Banker whose love for mythology led him to take on such determination of portraying “Ramayana” on the Hollywood screen.

Talks about the production of this movie have been going on since 2006 , and a major Hollywood production studio is backing it.

When asked about the cast and crew for his movie Banker says, “Some major names — both from Hollywood and Bollywood — are expected to be part of it. I’ve no idea if Nicole would be in it, though personally, I think she’ll make a great Surpanakha. Even Daniel Craig’s agent has called up to say that he’d be interested. And, if I had my way, I’d like him to do Ravana, since he has a very brutish and a very powerful presence. Actually, I’d want the baddies to be played by Westerners and Indians to play the ‘human’ ones” .

Indian spectators on the other hand find Ash-Abhi to be the ideal couple for the role of Sita and Ram. Ravana, they say will be best portrayed by King Khan –Sharukh.

It seems to be the most awaited picture of the year.

AJAY DEVGAN and KAJOL in U, ME aur HUM

These days it is all about innovative promotion strategies for your film. We saw enough of it in ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Saawariya’. Now, actor-debutant director Ajay Devgan took it upon himself to shoot for the ad commercial of Sangini jewellery, that’ll feature Ajay and Kajol. Shot in Filmistan only recently, the ad will hit the small screens in mid-March, and will prove to be an extended marketing strategy for the promotion of Ajay’s directorial debut ‘U, Me Aur Hum’.

In fact, the storyline of the ad commercial has been formulated keeping in mind the storyline of this romantic movie. It goes as Ajay and Kajol are on a cruise when it begins to rain stars. Our best wishes for the two talented stars of Bollywood!

KAREENA & SAIF - FAILING IN LOVE

He loves Kareena and wants to announce it to the world too. We hear that Saif has got Kareena’s name tattooed in Devnagri on his arm at Hakim’s Alim in Bandra.

Saif and Kareena left for Greece Friday, January 4, to savor the salubrious climate and food there before other crew members of Tashan catch up with them for a shooting schedule there.

Saif has apparently been planning to get the tattoo for last few months and has been browsing through various calligraphic styles to finalize the shape of the tattoo.

Last week, on Thursday, the actor finally took the decision and walked into Hakim’s Alim in Bandra and sat for a two-three hour session to get Kareena’s name tattooed in Devnagari, an ancient Indian language. The tattoo was reportedly done in indelible ink.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor had a minor tiff at Farhan Akhtar’s party on Friday night. No body knows what exactly happened but Saif was seen arguing with Kareena and also told her to ’shut up’. She was very upset over it and heard saying she had left Shahid for Saif and he shouldn’t treat her this way. Kareena’s friend and spokesperson said, “It is absolutely untrue. They had a minor fight. There is no trouble between them. Nothing of this sort happened at all.” Despite of this tiff Saif generously gifting Bebo solitaire diamonds. A close source says, “Kareena has a very different taste when it comes to jewellery. She prefers to wear minimum jewellery. Chunky rings and heavy sets are a complete no-no. she loves solitaire rings and neckpieces.” A salesman from a jewellery store in Bandra informs, “he told us that it’s for a very special lady. And he gave us the ring size also.”

NIEL NITIN MUKESH

The two new films that Neil Nitin Mukesh of "Johnny Gaddar" fame has signed have peculiar titles.

"One of them is called 'Fame' while the other is tentatively titled 'Freeze'. I guess audiences expect unusual titles from me after 'Johnny Gaddar' and my release 'Tera Kya Hoga Johnny'," Neil told IANS.

Talking about his role in "Fame", he said: "Tigmanshu Dhulia's 'Fame' is about the shortcuts to a bulky bank balance taken by youngsters, again a moral fable like 'Johnny Gaddar'. Maybe, producers see me as the good boy gone to seed."

Another day, another role. Neil has also bagged his own superhero flick, thereby creating an atmosphere of more comparisons with Hrithik Roshan.

"The film from Eros, tentatively titled 'Freeze', is going to be directed by debutant Jehangir Surti. It's about a man who comes upon a supernatural power and how it changes his life."

But the first one to come out will be Sudhir Mishra's "Tera Kya Hoga Johnny".

"It's an episodic look at the life of a street child named Johnny. I come into one of the episodes."

Tell him it's bizarre that his first two films have 'Johnny' in their titles and he laughs.

"Yeah, it is rather uncanny. And when I was a child I'd often call myself Johnny for no apparent reason."

Forget the staid family-oriented good boy image that Neil has cultivated even after playing the roguish double-dealing "Johnny Gaddar". On his 26th birthday, which was Jan 15, the young actor decided to really let his hair down.

"Well on the night before my birthday I was with my family. My brother, who's 10 years my junior, has his board exams coming up. So, I've been keeping late nights with him, trying to coach him overtime. The birthday eve was a quiet family affair."

But the next day Neil whooped it up with the babes.

"Don't ask me where, how and when. And I'll tell no lies. But I cast aside my good boy image on my birthday night," Neil laughed wickedly.

Turning pensive, Neil sighed, "I already feel old. At 25, I felt young. At 26, I feel I've crossed the age where I could be a kid. Johnny is no longer papa's kid."

Sonu Nigam (born July 30, 1973) is a Bollywood film singer, born in Haryana, India. He modelled his singing style after Mohammad Rafi.

Nigam's first major song was Acchha Sila Diya Mere from the movie Bewafaa Sanam. His big break came in 1997 with the film Border, directed by J.P. Dutta. The film was scored by Anu Malik and the lyrics were written by Javed Akhtar. Nigam's duet with Roop Kumar Rathod, Ke Ghar Kab Aaoge, is especially memorable. He tried his hand at acting as well, but all movies in which he acted flopped.

Since then, Nigam has sung in many Bollywood movies. He also sings duets with fellow Bollywood playback singers Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan. Well going bare-chested of course. The singer will not be wearing a shirt in a scene for his upcoming video, which will be part of his hot new pop music album.
